Can you believe how adorable these are?! I made them in about 30 minutes and everyone loved them. Okay so I'm not completely the super mom...I did use the Tenderflake small pie shells but really I think I'd have been crazy not too.. Well, that and the fact that I absolutely despise making pastry.
Check it out.
Totally doable right?!
Give it a shot.

I'm not sure if you can see my question. If not, would you let me know so I can ask you again? Instead of posting twice the same question :) thanks

Hi! My question was, how did you cut and made the cute borders? And how did you stick them to the mini pie? I'm making my mini pies in my muffin tin and those are adorable! So I would like to make then just like yours :) ....
ReplyDeleteHi Rocio,
ReplyDeleteShort answer is I cheated by buying the mini shells and using one to make the lattice ontop of another. You obviously are more skilled than I as it sounds like you are making the pastry from scratch. In that case I would suggest you use a scalloped circle cutter and then separate off the edge just like I did above. Make your lattice with the rest of the circle and then reapply the edging. Give it a whirl and leg me know how it goes.
Have fun and thanks,
